Scandic Palace Hotel Copenhagen, Denmark, was voted ‘Denmark’s Leading Hotel’ and ‘Denmark’s Leading Business Hotel’ at the prestigious World Travel Awards event that was recently held in Turkey.
The World Travel Awards are the highest accolade in the international travel industry, dubbed the Oscars of the travel industry by The Wall Street Journal.
Since 1993, travel trade professionals and the public have cast thousands of votes for the year’s leading travel products, and this year saw Scandic’s Palace Hotel Copenhagen take two of the three prizes that were awarded to Danish hotels.
As well as securing the top prize of ‘Denmark’s Leading Hotel’, Scandic Palace Hotel Copenhagen also won in the category ‘Denmark’s Leading Business Hotel’. The hotel has been nominated in both categories for the past six years and this year it came out on top at the huge awards ceremony in Antalya, Turkey.
“The most important thing for us is naturally that our customers enjoy staying at Palace Hotel Copenhagen. However, there is no denying that we are incredibly proud of our two World Travel Awards. The winners are chosen by the travel and tourism industry itself. So the awards are a clear vote of confidence in our work to make Palace Hotel Copenhagen a top-class hotel both for private travellers and business guests,” comments Jens Mathiesen, Scandic’s Country Vice President Denmark.
Scandic Palace Hotel Copenhagen enjoys a central location on Rådhuspladsen in Copenhagen and has recently been refurbished in a modern style. The hotel’s 5th floor is an executive floor with new suites for conferences, delegations or private parties, while the roof terrace offers one of the best views in the city.
