As it starts to get colder outside, there is nothing better than enjoying a warm welcome at Scandic and tucking into superb food inspired by seasonal produce.Every Scandic hotel is now serving a unique Autumn menu developed by world-renowned chef Jamie Oliver in partnership with Scandic’s own executive chefs.
World-renowned chef Jamie Oliver and Scandic have been working closely together since 2009, and he plays a pivotal role in Scandic’s strong focus on food and beverage. Through this partnership, Scandic’s guests have been able to enjoy specially composed, quality dishes that get the best out of seasonal produce. Earlier this year, we launched the Summer and Kids menus that Jamie Oliver developed along with Scandic’s executive chefs, and then came Scandic’s Meeting and Conference menu. Each year, Jamie also produces an Autumn menu with Scandic’s chefs.
“It’s always cool to create these menus with Scandic. They really care about the quality of the food they serve their guests, and they’re always working to find new and better ways of doing things. Scandic only uses eggs and meat from free-range chickens and pigs for my dishes and they fill the kitchen with local produce according to the season. I’m proud to be working with such a forward-thinking and great bunch of people,” says Jamie Oliver.
Starter: Crispy duck confit on a bed of lettuce with pomegranate, fried onion and a mustard dressing
Main: Beer-braised spare rib of beef with Jerusalem artichoke purée and horseradish cream
Dessert: Spiced pear, meringue and cranberry jam with a warm chocolate sauce
The Autumn menu is being served at all Scandic hotels between 7 October and 17 November.
